‘Artificial Intelligence in Plant Pathology” is being covered as a major topic in PG degree programmes at various universities. In future, this topic might be included in the syllabus as a core course. Thus, a dire need of a book has been felt for the benefit of students and the faculty in the subject. This book, therefore, has been designed to cover the prominent aspects of AI adoption and application in major segments of Plant Pathology.
The book comprises six broad chapters covering the latest information on the “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Subsets ; Artificial Intelligence in Disease Detection and Diagnosis ; Artificial Intelligence in Disease Prediction ; Artificial Intelligence and Disease Management Strategies ; AI Advancements in Plant Disease Propagation Modeling ; Comprehensive Evaluation and Prospects of AI Technologies in Phytopathological Applications”. Appropriate diagrams, convincing tables and suitable graphs / illustrations have been furnished at the right places. A bibliography providing the list of references cited has also been included at the end of each chapter.
The contents of this book, reflecting an extensive literature search, will also be useful for the teaching, research and extension faculty in Agricultural and Horticultural Universities, the State Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture & Fisheries, Plant Protection Organizations, Plant Quarantine Units, Pesticides Firms, Administrators & Policy makers and all those who are interested and concerned with plant protection.
