Fodder and forage is described as the vegetative material, either fresh or preserved, used as animal feed. .The nation currently has a void gap between demand and supply of fodder crop with net deficit of 11.24 % of green fodder 23.04% of dry crop residues and 24.78% of concentrates. Dairy farming, or the production of milk, depends on feeds and fodder , accounting for 70-75% of the dairy farm’s production costs. Thus to mitigate this demand- supply gap an attempt has been made in this text of Fodder Production and management techniques to discuss the content in depth, and also were in accordance with the nationwide syllabus for the students, hence, a textbook was created with the pressing need in mind.
