In accordance with the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, we are pleased to present the book “Manual of Herbal Drug Technology” which was written specifically for B. Pharm. Third year students. There are a total fourteen practicals throughout the four sections of this book. First section includes the information on preliminary phytochemical screening of phytoconstituents which are explained in comprehensive manner. Second section includes the formulation of herbal cosmetics like lotions, herbal creams and shampoos with their complete evaluation parameters. Section three covers herbal formulation like shampoos and syrups. Section four covers circumstantial study of quality control of herbal drugs. Authors have written this manual by keeping undergraduate students in mind. The prominent features of this book are, use of simple terms, self-explanatory tables and simplified text to make practicality simple. The authors believe that the book will be able to meet the needs of degree and post graduate students.
